Beginning in the Laboratory

Stratech Scientific began in 1983 with a vision to achieve the impossible. From the ‘humble’ beginnings of laboratory work, Sue Hallett’s career in science moved to procurement. Her ability to source rare biological products developed her mindset of making things happen. With a dream of making the impossible possible for the scientific community and a small loan from her father, Stratech was born.

One of Stratech’s earliest customers was the John Innes Centre in Norwich who needed a Jackson secondary antibody. Our relationship with both companies continues to this day; 40 years of the highest standards of service and customer care.

Continued Growth

2004 saw the incorporation of Jackson ImmunoResearch Europe Ltd a strategic alliance between Sue Hallett, M.D. of Stratech Scientific Ltd and Dr William Stegeman CEO of Jackson ImmunoResearch Laboratories Inc, PA, USA. This European hub based in Cambridge House alongside Stratech Scientific acts as a warehouse and distribution facility for Jackson’s gold standard secondary antibodies. Since 2012, Stratech has seen double digit growth every year. Our customers benefit from our continued investment in an experienced and knowledgeable team, enabling us to consistently deliver. Stratech’s first European tender in 2014 has grown to 17 tenders today; we are now a preferred supplier at all of the top UK institutions.
