FITC-LEHD-FMK is cell permeable, nontoxic, and irreversibly binds to activated caspase-9 in apoptotic cells. The FITC label allows for direct detection of activated caspases in apoptotic cells by fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, or fluorescence plate reader.
