The ENL protein is part of a super elongation complex (SEC) regulating RNA Pol II transcription, and a chromosomal translocation resulting in an MLL-ENL fusion involved in pediatric Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia [1]. ENL YEATS Domain preferentially interacts with histone H3 crotonylated lysines over acetylated lysines [2].
