Description

Description: PD-L1 (Programmed death-ligand 1, also known as B7-H1, CD274), is a 40KDa type I transmembrane protein composed of 290 amino acids, belonging to the B7 superfamily. PD-L1 is widely expressed in antigen presenting cells (APCs) and activates T, B cells, macrophages, placental trophoblast, myocardial endothelium and thymic cortical epithelial cells. PD-L1 is the ligand of PD-1. After binding with PD-1, it can recruit tyrosine phosphatase SHP-2 through immunoreceptor tyrosine-based swith motif (ITSM), and then dephosphorylate multiple key molecules in TCR signaling pathway, inhibit the proliferation and activity of CD4T and CD8T cells, and negatively regulate the immune response process of the body. In healthy organisms, activation of the PD-1/PD-L1 signaling pathway can minimize the damage of immune response to surrounding tissues and avoid the occurrence of autoimmune diseases.
