Description: Restriction enzymes are used to recognize a specific sequence of nucleotides and cut double stranded DNA into smaller fragments at a specific location. Each restriction enzyme recognises different DNA sequences. XhoI is a Restriction Endonuclease purified from an Escherichia coli strain that carries the XhoI gene from Xanthomonas holcicola. XhoI activity is impaired by CpG methylation (CG methylase cleaves CT5mCGAG very slowly). The optimum reaction temperature is at 37 °C. Concentration: 10000 U/mL Reaction Buffer: NZYTech provides XhoI with a specific buffer, NZYBuffer A. For double digestions please use 10x NZYBuffer U (MB110, not provided). Activity in NZYTech Buffers: NZYBuffer A: 100% NZYBuffer B: 160% NZYBuffer C: 60% NZYBuffer U: 100% Minimize exposure of enzyme to temperatures higher than -20 °C.
