Description: Restriction enzymes are used to recognize a specific sequence of nucleotides and cut double stranded DNA into smaller fragments at a specific location. Each restriction enzyme recognises different DNA sequences. DpnI is a Restriction Endonuclease purified from an Escherichia coli strain that carries the DpnI gene from Diplococcus pneumoniae. DpnI activity is blocked by overlapping CpG methylation. The optimum reaction temperature is at 37 °C. Concentration: 10000 U/mL Reaction Buffer: NZYTech provides DpnI with a specific buffer, NZYBuffer C. For double digestions please use 10x NZYBuffer U (MB110, not provided). Activity in NZYTech Buffers: NZYBuffer A: 70% NZYBuffer B: 50% NZYBuffer C: 100% NZYBuffer U: 100% Minimize exposure of enzyme to temperatures higher than -20 °C. Neoschizomers: BfuCI, Bsp143I, BstENII, BstKTI, BstMBI, DpnII, Kzo9I, NdeII
