Description: Restriction enzymes are used to recognize a specific sequence of nucleotides and cut double stranded DNA into smaller fragments at a specific location. Each restriction enzyme recognises different DNA sequences. MluI is a Restriction Endonuclease purified from an Escherichia coli strain that carries the MluI gene from Micrococcus luteus. MluI activity is blocked by CpG methylation. The optimum reaction temperature is at 37 °C. Concentration: 10000 U/mL Reaction Buffer: NZYTech provides MluI with a specific buffer, NZYBuffer A. For double digestions please use 10x NZYBuffer U (MB110, not provided). Activity in NZYTech Buffers: NZYBuffer A: 100% NZYBuffer B: 100% NZYBuffer C: 100% NZYBuffer U: 100% Minimize exposure of enzyme to temperatures higher than -20 °C.
