Description: FTase is one of the three mammalian protein prenyltransferases. The double mutant of FTase was engineered to efficiently transfer biotin-geranylpyrophosphate (BGPP, Cat.# LI-015) onto its native protein substrates. This approach allows the detection of femtomolar amounts of prenylatable proteins in eukaryotic cells and tissues as well as effective inhibitor screening.
