SARS-CoV-2 Virus Neutralization

SARS-CoV-2 spike protein ligand binding BioAssay™ kit allows rapid quantification of COVID-19 neutralizing antibodies in serum and plasma by measuring reduction in the binding of viral spike protein with its receptor ACE2. This assay allows rapid analysis of convalescent plasma, antibody-based therapeutics, vaccine leads, and immune response to the virus. This serological platform was designed as a tool to begin understanding the correlation between neutralizing antibody level and protective immunity in recovered SARS-CoV-2.

1. Enzyme conjugated SARS-CoV-2 spike protein is mixed with serum for testing, and applied to ACE2 precoated microtiter plate.
2. Neutralizing antibodies:Spike protein:ACE2 equilibrium is reached.
3. Plate is washed and developed with TMB.
4. Signal can be calibrated using a standard curve using pre- made calibrators containing purified blocking antibodies or monoclonal blocking antibodies.
